It looks like Jermaine Dupri was relieved of his duties at Island Records yesterday. JD was the president of their Urban Music Division for nearly two years. His position was dropped primarily due to his lack of performance. JD brought his wifey Janet Jackson to the label, Jagged Edge and most recently Q Da Kid. As most of you know, if you keep up with music at all, none of those artists have really done well recently. Q Da Kid is fresh into the game so we’ll have a chance to see how he does in the future. Is the job market going to get any better any time soon?
