DAILY 09/18

I think this is probably the first time I’ve personally posted Lil B, not that I don’t appreciate his music, but just been slightly confused on his approach to distributing music. Him being one of the most interesting individuals in Hip-Hop, he’s the only artist I know who can go extremely left then go far right. Knowing that music is an art form I can appreciate him impressing himself, not caring what other individuals have to say, so with that said here goes a new viral video from Based God, titled Why They Wanna Kill Me, directed by Lil B.

So this joint is kind of old but it’s still dope nonetheless. Cudi and Rich hit the studio together about two years ago in New York and recorded this and it’s just now seeing the light of day. The crazy part, it was originally supposed to be on Cudi’s Man On The Moon album. Hopefully we’ll get to see another Rich Hil and Cudder collaboration shortly. Spotted at 2dope.

With Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music Friday’s in full effect, we’re also starting to see a lot of fresh material from other artists on the label. Cons just dropped his latest leak “Got Me Trippin (The Amerie Joint)” which features an Amerie sample and production from Q-Tip. You’ll find this on his upcoming project Cons TV which should be dropping shortly.

The production on this joint is ridiculous! Producers Hit Boy and Chase N. Cashe who formed the Surf Club hit us with some visuals for “Ahh Shit”. I had the opportunity to see them perform this live in Chicago during the Leaders of the New Cool event and they definitely put on a good show. If the rest of their material is anything like this, it’s a wrap. Directed by Phil Mao.

“How are you goin’ hustle, not moving a muscle, gotta have struggle to reach success.”

Steve Liriks is an up-and-coming artist hailing from California and he’s been making quite a name for himself this year. He was nominated for the MTV’s 2010 VMA Best Breakout LA Artist, opened for the winner of Red Bull’s Big Tune LA and has been featured across seas in Austria. He’s currently working on an EP with an LP to follow but in the meantime he sent us a little taste of what you can expect with “Hello World”.

Philly natives Chiddy and Xaphoon Jones who make up Chiddy Bang dropped “The Good Life” a few days ago and in just a short time later, we get the visuals. The track was co-produced by Pharrell and will be featured on their upcoming project The Preview which drops on October 12th. I had a chance to see these guys live last night in Chicago and they really put on a good show. I haven’t seen a whole lot of artists who are able to take various subjects from the audience and put them into a dope freestyle. Check them out live if you get the chance. You won’t regret it. Also, after the jump you can check out the artwork and tracklist from The Preview.
