Love & Light Interview At The 2012 Ultra Music Festival (Video)

One of the most fun things we got to do while in Miami for the 2012 Ultra Music Festival was getting to sit down with Matt Madonna and Ryan Anderson of Love & Light. Hailing from the west-coast desert region of the Reno/Tahoe basin the duo embodies their hometowns with the west-coast dub/crunk/glitch sound that they completely make their own. Their mid-tempo bass rhythm is comprised of funky bass lines layered below melodic synths and complex builds that don’t drop into the widely overused wobble wobble wobble that some of us might have heard a little too much of these days. As a refreshing testament to the down-to-earth spirit that is beginning to become rare with artists in a genre that is growing exponentially more popular with each passing day, Love & Light came through the IMFmag Ultra residence just under two miles from Bayfront Park and talked poolside with us about their first time at Ultra, what us fans can expect from them in the upcoming months, and much more. Make sure to check out their Soundcloud page here as well as even more free tracks on their website.. Hit the jump to check out a few photos!
