Hattie Watson Gets Intimate At A Recent Shoot With IMF & Kolorblind.net

We at IMF recently had the opportunity to work with the beautiful and talented Hattie Watson. We were invited by one of the most talented photographers we have the pleasure in knowing, Isaac Joel Torres. Isaac has a truly unique vision when it comes to who he shoots and what the final outcome should be. We decided to get some thoughts from the visionary himself. Hit the jump to see how it all came together…

Hattie and I have been following each other’s work for quite some time now. Shes been published in magazines I’ve been published in, shes “Tumblr Famous”, and she’s worked with some photographers / friends I admire. Although we didn’t know each other personally, we knew each other professionally. She finally mentioned she was coming to the Midwest (She’s originally from Austin) and I just had to make something happen in order to shoot. We worked out the details and found a location to shoot last minute. To me she has one of the most unique looks out there. She has an innocent, simple, and a beautiful face filled with freckles, strong red hair, an amazing body and wonderful ink. She has such a versatile look. She can be very innocent looking and delicate and in the next moment she can look like she can star as killer female villain in a Quentin Tarantino flick.

We took a look at her wardrobe in her mobile closet and finally headed to the abandoned mansion where we were going to shoot. This mansion was overwhelming. The good thing is it’s such a strong point to shoot. The bad thing is that there were so many great spots to shoot in there that I didn’t know where to start. Hattie put on her hoodie & we started to scope out the place and explore first. We picked out some spots, put on some tunes and started working. She was kind of quiet at first yet as the shoot progressed she opened up right away, was very friendly and started poking fun of my colorblindness… Ha! I asked what color a beam was and she mentioned it was lime green. I believed her when in fact Andre (Videographer) mentioned it was gray. I’ve been used to directing a lot of my models yet with Hattie it was different. It’s almost as if every pose she did was perfect. I soon learned she didn’t need much or any direction at all. She chuckled a few times when I tried to explain what I was looking for or what pose I wanted. She looked at me like, “I got this dude. Don’t worry.” She knew exactly what I wanted & what would look good. I wish we had more time yet being busy as she is, she was going to head to St. Louis for another shoot so we had to wrap it up.
