You may agree or disagree that today, 2 Chainz, has fully became an overnight household name – if he hasn’t already garnered enough buzz for his sparkly namesake. The former Playaz Circle rapper, who has willed his way to the upper echelon list of Hip Hop artists in little less than a year – by remarkably releasing a ton of mixtapes and adding guest features to his expanding resume, was arrested yesterday at LaGuardia Airport for reportedly having brass knuckles in his possession (shortly after un-boarding a Delta Airlines flight.) Detained nearly 8 to 9 hours for the customized piece (spelling “HOOD”), fellow rapping comrades and industry folk(s) included, such as Big Sean and DJ Drama have all come to defense of the “No Lie” rapper in the light of the recent events, and following the unjustifiable arrest earlier today, 2 Chainz granted an exclusive interview to MTV’s Rob Markman to chat about his mind-boggling run-in with the law.
