As a fellow New Yorker…the art (above) embodies all aspects of the Big Apple’s struggle – everyday people working their butts off to make ends meet – all the while taking care of the responsibility of a little one. Life is tough and this pretty much symbolizes that adversity faced by millions of New Yorkers. Focusing on the black folk’ struggle, Donald Glover (bka Childish Gambino) and Nipsey Hussle do a great job with their lines of painting the common hardship(s) endured by their people – but infuse within the raps – a happy-ever-after back-story of making it big amidst the many trials and tribulations. With slick production handled by both Canadian representative Boi-1da and Ludwig, the single is the second official offering taken from Gambino’s forthcoming [yet-untitled] project coming soon.
