I was excited for Electric Forest for a number of reasons but being able to see two nights of STS9 in one of the most majestic environments I have ever been in was at the top of the list. What happened over the course of 5 hours on Friday and Saturday night in Rothbury, Michigan was nothing short of magic. The 5 member crew of Sound Tribe Sector 9 put on the best performance I had ever seen out of the Atlanta natives. With a perfect balace of new and old tracks including ‘Scheme’, ‘Hidden Hand, Hidden Fist’, ‘EHM’, and ‘ABCees’, STS9 knew they were playing to a sea of both devoted fans and some who were experiencing their first Tribe show. Coupled with the sensationally mastered production that comes with The Great Cycle Spectacles run that STS9 is on, it was not only an auditory but visually stunning experience as well.
