Chicago has become a hot bed for aspiring artist. But all the exposure hasn’t happened over night. For so many years artists hustled and tried to make way in the city of wind to no avail. Countless names have falling by the waysides, yet with the change of seasons and the shift of the collective hip hop mind, accepting more diverse acts; artists like The WHOevers, Retrospect, ShowYouSuck, and Chandler London have been making moves in their own lanes, capitalizing and delivering ‘that new’ to the hungry connected audio heads.
Last week I got to chop it up with a real chill dude by the name of Chandler London and he was telling me of this new track entitled “Daisies”. As he put it,
“…its kind of different from what I have been doing but I wanted to experiment more with my voice.”
He shot me a ruff mix of the track, I was hooked and the rest was history. Even though its a departure from his normal sound, you can still appreciate the entire vibe. As far as where this track will end up, Chandler had this to say,
“…not sure yet where this song will end up but I want people to hear it and see where I’m at in this point…”
Co-Produced by Smoko Ono and Alex Papi Beatz, who you might recognize off the latest Mikey Rocks mixtape, Chandler London continues with the next installment in the ‘flower titled joints’ as “Daisies” takes on the old saying “Sweets for the Sweet” or in other words flowers for the dead; comparing these ‘daisies’ to the a certain member of the female persuasion. Who could it be, well listen to the track and if you’re still confused catch him at Tonic Room, August 29th to ask him yourself. Till then enjoy your afternoon with the smell of these “Daisies”. Hit the break to download the track, a few of his videos and where you can go to
stalk catch up with everything Chanlder London.
