We at IMF would like to consider Colorado as our second home. A few of us have spent the better part of our lives there and I myself have been there a couple dozen times. With that being said, we had the opportunity to take a road trip to go see Pretty Lights at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. Hit the jump for the complete photo recap.
All I can say is that this was one of the most indescribable experiences of my life. Colorado itself is a magical land filled with the most magical people. The winding roads, the endless sea of green, the 14,000 foot peaks, the silence that surrounds you in high country. It’s all just good vibes and unless you’ve been there to experience it firsthand, you’re just plain missing out. Derek Vincent Smith truly embraced those good vibes and shared with us one of this year’s moat epic shows. Not once, but twice. As expected Derek dropped many of his popular songs but also debuted some of his newest tracks which I thoroughly enjoyed. They were much heavier and a whole lot darker but in similar fashion kept the crowd moving all night. Finally some fresh sounds and the time has come , Pretty Lights has taken his music to brand new heights and we can’t be anymore excited to see him close out our summer at North Coast Music Festival. Without further adieu, ladies and gentlemen…Pretty Lights.
