1986 is a concept inspired by the actions and of our influences. The collection is paying homage to what is viewed as vintage by many. For example, Michael Jackson’s, Bad (1986), can be viewed to inspire our influences in regards to the look and feel. This moment embodied Michael in his prime and has an impact today on what we feel inspires us as designers, artists, musicians, etc. Akira (1986), the anime film served as the catalyst to modern day animated films, magna, and television. Thus, 1986 truly reflects our influences that inspire us to do what we do considering the fact that we weren’t alive during this time.
