STS9: A Look Back At Their House of Blues Set (Chicago)

With North Coast Music Festival being a notch on our bed posts and the Chicago winter already prematurely teasing us with explicative-laced walks to and from indoor shows that we’ll be sentenced to for the next half of a year or so, IMF is here to bring back some warm memories from the summer. The 2nd night of North Coast’s after parties brought a slew of talent all across the city; Alesso, EOTO, Dr. P, and Felix Da Housecat were all making appearances at respected night clubs and venues. There was one, though, that both in rarity and pure talent, that made Chicago the diverse music hub that it remains to be.

Sound Tribe Sector 9 played the historic House of Blues with an intimate and unique set for their fans. Tribe took a deep dive into some of their smoother tracks — a different angle than what some who were fortunate enough to see them during their 2-night run at Electric Forest Festival a few months prior experienced. Supported by opening act Future Rock who are also known for their electro-jam blend, STS9 went late into the night.
