What is the Sónar Festival you’re probably wondering. Well we’re here to assist and to provide a few of you with tickets courtesy of our friends at React Presents. Sónar is the International Festival of Advanced Music and Mew Media Art created in 1994, which is held in Barcelona for three days every June. So of you may already know about it, but my guess is a lot of you don’t.
The festival has regularly travelled beyond Spain’s frontiers since 2002, with events in different places around the world, adapting the Sónar philosophy to unique venues and environments, and highlighting the most interesting homegrown talent and the scene in the city where it takes place. As well as the event in Barcelona, Sónar organizes festivals every year in other cities, including São Paulo, Tokyo and Cape Town. In previous years, it has travelled to London, Frankfurt, Seoul and Buenos Aires, among many other destinations around the world.
Sounds pretty cool right? We’re blessed that they’re making a stop in our beautiful city this Wednesday which also happens to be the night of All Hallows’ Eve. Grab your tickets, put on your costumes, and come listen to some of the best electronic music in the world at the infamous Congress Theater.
