Zeds Dead finally made their way back to Chicago two weeks ago to perform in front of a sold out crowd at the infamous Congress Theater. Fans who went to the show saw opening performances from Midnight Conspiracy, 3LAU, and Dillon Francis. AraabMUZIK was schedule to open but after having some travel troubles, he was unable to make it. Regardless, the house was packed and people were loving every second of every set they saw. We arrived just in time to catch Dillon setting up. It was my first time seeing him and after the fact, I’ve definitely taken a liking to his sound.
After Dillon wrapped up, Zeds Dead made their way on stage and proceeded to drop “In The Beginning” from their Adrenaline EP to get things started. I immediately had a smile from ear to ear because I knew what I was in for after seeing their set at the 2011 North Coast Music Festival. After putting out a barrage of tracks, a live performance from their homie Omar Linx, they capped things off with some crowd surfing. We got a few shots of the night so hit the jump to check it all out.
A few weeks ago Porter Robinson stormed through Chicago to open up for Sebastian Ingrosso at the famous Congress Theater and we had the opportunity to grab a few shots of him doing what he does best. It’s cool to see his progression over the past year, especially here in Chicago. I remember the first time I saw him at the 2011 Electric Forest and then at Logan Square Auditorium, and now he’s performing in front of 4500 people at Congress. As we move further into 2012, expect great things from the “second coming of god”. Without further ado, Porter Robinson. Photos by @zwalkk.
Last Friday the Dead Meat Tour stormed through Chicago which resulted in fans leaving the Aragon Ballroom soaked with champagne courtesy of Steve Aoki and dubbed out with sounds from Dim Mak Records’ Datsik. Our very own Isaac Torres was in attendance with half of the IMF Chicago family to capture everything for those of you who couldn’t make it. Word on the street was this show was one of the craziest to hit Chicago recently and it left everyone wanting more. Hit the jump to see photos taken from the rowdy night.
We had the opportunity to sit down with dubstep’s Ambassador 12th Planet before his show at Bottom Lounge Chicago. He tells us about the feedback he’s received on his ‘End Is Near’ EP, a remix he’s working on for Porter Robinson, and new material he’s working on! If you haven’t downloaded his latest project, head over here to do it.
This year marks the 104th edition of the world famous Chicago Auto Show. The ten day event just wrapped up and we were there to give you an inside look at some of the hottest new rides showcased at the nation’s largest and longest running car show. This year’s most notable standouts were the Ford Shelby GT500, Lexus LF-LC, and for you green-minded individuals, the Chevrolet Volt. Take a look.
We were in Indianapolis during Super Bowl weekend and had the opportunity to shoot at Playboy’s 2012 Leather & Lace event. It featured appearances from ‘The Girls Next Door’, also known as Kendra Wilkinson, Holly Madison, and Bridget Marquardt. Guests were greeted by beautiful girls, great music, and a lot of “interesting” costumed people running around. Shot and edited by @zwalkk with music courtesy of Drake. Enjoy the eye candy.
Yesterday around the beginning of the Grammy Awards, myself (Jahrue) got the pleasure to be in the studio with Skateboard P and young ASAP. Trying to be discrete about what went on during the session, just know that Rocky was blessed with few joints and a verse.
Click the photos to view them in it’s full size that were taken by Jahrue. Video recap coming soon, also in related news IMFmag will be releasing unreleased content of your favorite artists this week to start a new series.
Last weekend we made our way to Indianapolis for Super Bowl Weekend and one of the parties we had the opportunity of attending was the 2012 Leather & Lace event from Playboy. It was held on both Friday and Saturday, with each night a different set of hosts. Friday attendees were graced with the presence of Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra, and JWoww from Jersey Shore. We were busy on Friday with another event so we went Saturday and caught up with Hugh Hefner’s girls next door: Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson, and Bridget Marquardt.
After the jump you can check out a few photos we managed to snap during the evening, but that’s not all – we shot a video as well. We simply wanted to give you a little taste of what you can expect to see on IMF next week. Enjoy the eye candy and be sure to stop back next week to catch a video of all the debauchery.
