If I wasn’t in California I would have made my way down to Bloomington to see Big Sean at Dope Couture. I guess Big Sean was in the state for a performance at Purdue University with Mike Posner, which you can check out some footage of if you watch the whole video. The best part is the end when Big Sean wilds out talking about guns and shit. Shouts to DC.
We’re now starting to see Marilyn Monroe come back into the limelight courtesy of a few celebrities, primarily Megan Fox. Dope Couture linked up with Italian artist Antonio Chiesa to create a unique tee featuring Marilyn Monroe, and it’s made entirely out of Italian Vanity Fair magazines. The ladies are sure to love this tee and you can now purchase it via their online store. Hit the jump to check out more photos. Read More
Projekt Media takes a trip to the Dope Couture boutique in Bloomington, Indiana to get an up close and personal look at their Summer 2009 collection. I’m ready to see what they’ve got lined up for the upcoming fall season.

Dope Couture presents us with their Summer 2009 collection lookbook. After checking it out, I think it’s safe to say that this is the best looking collection I’ve seen from them thus far. You’ll notice a couple of their tees have high fashion inspiration and also several original deigns as well. I definitely am feeling the V neck tees though – that’s my thing. Hit the jump to check out the rest of the 2009 collection.
Dope Couture presents their second Hip-Hop artist collaboration tee and this time they’ve commissioned Chicago artist Naledge. The artwork features a cubist-style portrait of Naledge inspired by Picasso’s piece ‘Seated Woman with Wrist Watch’. The quote on the back is from Picasso’s lettres françaises translating as “Art is an offensive weapon in the defense against the enemy.”
Dope will be at the Chicago Picasso release party tonight at The Legroom 7 West Division, Downtown Chicago. It’s free all night. Dress your best: no hats, no sneakers. Shirts will be available for purchase at the release party (and online starting today). I’m definitely feeling this tee. Shouts to Matt.
