PrototypeRaptor is a Music Composition major from Oklahoma whose been making some serious waves recently with several tracks cracking the top 3 on HypeMachine and more than 45k plays on his Wolfgang Gartner Remix alone. He just released TWO brand new tracks to coincide with his birthday today…check em out!
Deadmau5 – The Veldt (PrototypeRaptor’s Serve Over Ice Bootleg Remix) offers a really unique and super chill and cinematic take on the original and is an interesting change up from PR’s usual hard hitting electro house sound.
Jurassic Snack Pack is a perfect example of the quintessential PrototypeRaptor style incorporating his signature 8 bit influences, heavy bass tones, and driving melodies.
One of my favorite French House records gets a fresh new bright and shinny packaging by Tobtok. These are the kind of records that bring back memories and with Tobtok’s new take on this original I’m sure there will be plenty more to come. With an Eric Prydz vibe this soulful track turns into a wild dance all night long house beat banger. Download it today for free and make room on your weekend playlist for this incredible record by Tobtok. I’ll see you on the dancefloor.
Please not another ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ Remix…no, seriously producers, please no more. This may be the 20th one I’ve heard this week and I’ll admit I couldn’t have been less enthused when I first saw the title pop up in my browser. HOWEVER…TheFatRat is quickly becoming one of my favorite up and coming producers in the scene these days and this remix supplies a FAT dose of his signature Disco/Electro House flare. Download it for free off his Soundcloud and if you need more proof that this kid is the future check out what he did to Avicii’s “Levels”. Shwing.
Gazburn drops another beat blender on internets today, this time Gazburn gets the party started with his latest called “Dancin’, Groovin’”. A keen ear will definitely get the feel of Daft Punks “Harder Better Faster Stronger” in the melody but once the beat drops a nasty dirty baseline will take you places you only thought you could reach at Ibiza. Check for the single to be released March 5th on GUDZA.
Our favorite Chilean duo of Mawashi set fire to the dance-floor with their remix to Barretso’s “Chase”. It’s a mix of various styles including electro, dubstep, and indie-rock. Their remix gives the track an electrifying movement for the dance-floor. “Chase” will be definitely finding its way on to my new playlist.
It’s always interesting to watch an established artist in his own lane take the leap and enter another. And that’s the case we see with EWE aka Louis La Roche and his “How We Became Us” EP. Louis La Roche is mostly known for his incredible French House sound but its definitely refreshing to see the project move in a different direction. It’s more of a mix between trance, house, drumb&bass and dubstep but you be the judge. Take a listen and download it for the great price of free99.
U-Tern just finished off his Australian tour and put together this “mid-week” mixtape for all the Jackers, Bassheads, and disco house freaks. The tracklist can be found after the break, but it’s full of nothing but the hotness from the likes of Benoit & Sergio, Beni, Munk, and Oliver. A dope showcase from indie label Modular Records and U-Tern.
