RollingStone.com premiered earlier today a brand new record from Boys Noize. The record “This Is What You Want” will be the lead single off his third studio album Out of the Black from BNR head hancho. Taking it back to the rawest forms of sonic influences, Alex Ridha crafts a masterful eighties inspired robotic hip hop electronic beauty.
“This particular track was inspired by the vibes I get from the Beastie Boys, for instance, their Licensed to Ill album is one of my all-time favorite records, and to me ‘What You Want’ has some sort of B-boy style mixed with my obsession on robot vocals and modern sound aesthetics. This song combines a lot of things I love about electronic music.”
Definitely funky, playful, dirty and raw. The Boys Noize aesthetic is still there. What you think?
