DAILY 07/18

If you weren’t in attendance at this year’s Indianapolis 500 then take a peek at what you missed. This official highlight reel covers the “Snake Pit,” which held live performances from legendary Benny Benassi and Chicago’s own Krewella.

DAILY 06/22

The first days anticipation was at an all time high as the blue line approached Jackson so we could hop onto the Red to our final destination and enter the mother ship at Soldier Field. Being that it was my first actual festival that I got in legitimately I was mad hyped that I didn’t even notice the hordes of scantily clad neon bodies filling the train and roads leading to the Spring Awakening Music Festival. I couldn’t register or even start to comprehend that I was going to rage out to sounds of Bart B More, A-Trak, Dillon Francis and Skrillex all in one day; then come back the next day to rebuild and then destroy myself once again to the incredible sounds of Will Joy, Diplo, Shermanology, Felix Cartal, DIPLO and Moby! What a feeling. As Soldier Field peeked out from behind the Field Museum, literally looking like a space ship had landed on the lake front, sending out messages to the thousands making the pilgrimage to SAMF.

The aftermath of what was the Spring Awakening Music Festival still reverberates within my collective EDM soul. As I close my eyes the bass kicks, the treble spits, bright and shiny sun rays pound down on thousands of neon clad bodies, love mixed with a few other herbal essences in the air and the absolute grandness and uniqueness of the venue made for an experience like no other. Yes you can go to Lollapalooza, Pitchfork, and the countless other outdoor events in Chicago this summer but who can say they raged out to Skrillex in the rain on the 50th yard line of Soldier Field… well I know of a few thousand that did and we all got a story to tell, so sit back as you part take on my journey through my words and the visuals of Zach into the house of EDM at the Spring Awakening Music Festival.

DAILY 06/11

A little over a week ago, we all got a taste of the original from Adventure Club featuring Krewella and the trio from Chicago has already remixed their own song. The remix features some more filth compared to the original, more melodic track. Nevertheless, the remix is exactly what we expected from these three. Turn it up and enjoy!

DAILY 06/03

In the aftermath of “Rise & Fall” I completely forgot to post the original and give it, its just do. Keep your eyes and ears wide open for all the huge breaks, build ups and crashes from Adventure Club and Krewella. What else could you expect from these two groups, I can’t wait to see them live during SAMF. If you missed the excellent remix Stars Above did to “Rise & Fall” do yourself a favor and sample that genius.

DAILY 05/31

Adventure Club and Krewella join forces once again on a new track – “Rise & Fall.” The track has a slower beginning then I expeced but picks up towards the 2-minute marker and begins sounding like a proper hybrid of the two dubstep-influenced groups. “Rise & Fall” has an obvious influence of Adventure Club’s signature melodic bass sound but is injected with the Krewella deep bass we’ve all come to love. Turn your shit up for this one!

As a bonus, if you haven’t already heard “Wait” by Adventure Club, we’ve posted the stream below “Rise & Fall.” Posted on their SoundCloud page two days ago, the Canadian duo have already racked in 100,000+ listens. These two groups to mature as artists and their latest work is a prime example. We can’t wait to see where both groups are in a year!

DAILY 04/10

Chicago’s own Krewella just dropped this huge banger on us! We got a snippet of this last night as the countdown began towards the release but now the waits over. “Fuck On Me” remix of Knife Party’s “Fire Hive” is HUGE. Turn up the bass on this one..
