DAILY 06/28

Two days ago Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, better known as the Bloody Beetroots, dropped the high energy fast paced rock out with your c*** out monster, “Rocksteady”. Jumping right into the garage-punk energetic electro house sound that the Beetroots are known for, “Rocksteady” will definitely get your juices flowing like no other. After catching a glimpse of the video, which was teased the same day and promised to drop today, I decided to hold off for the complete package. Feast your eye on the Mad Max-esque video, catch some eye candy and rage out to the soundtrack! Directed by Wyatt Neumann and staring a trio of black leather bound-long haired rockers, muscle cars, and lots of dust. What more can I say? When has Sir Bob lead you astray!? Hit the break for the audio.

A little over five months ago, we first heard Congrorock’s “Ivory” and today we’re lucky enough to revisit that so-called “elephant bass” with the remix package on Ultra Records. Laidback Luke, The Bloody Beetroots, Mumbai Science and NT89 all were handpicked to rework “Ivory,” leading to more bass, techno and groove. Go ahead and listen to the EP and then head over to Beatport to get your copy.

Spinner hosted the premier of the new video of “Ivory,” just a few days ago too. The video was directed by Ag Rojas, who has previously worked with Jack White, Spiritualized, Earl Sweatshirt, Gil Scott-Heron. Take a look at the video after the break.

It looks like Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo will be releasing his first photographic novel in March. The book will contain never before seen photographs from the world of the Bloody Beetroots. If the photography from the Beetroots’ Church of Noise website is any indication of what to expect, then this will definitely be something I’ll pick up.
