DAILY 11/29

The dark lost robotic french soul they call ValyMo took it upon himself to completely annihilate the freshly processed Crystal Castles track, “Kerosene”. Bringing it into the dark corners between the trap and electronic sounds, ValyMo creates a future soundscape of chaotic beauty. Hit the break for the original track, if you’re one of the handful of lone souls left who hasn’t heard (III).

DAILY 07/06

From my first listen of his remix to ZZT’s “Party’s Over Los Angeles” to the exclusive mix that dropped for IMF back in March, ValyMo has been on of those DJ/Producers that I’ve sought after; checking for new productions and never being disappointed by this dark robotic techno monster. With his uncanny ability to bring that raw unadulterated musical energy to the masses ValyMo has burst onto the scene like gangbusters and has garnered support from DJ’s across the world. More recently the love has spread from his home country of France across the small pond to the UK as he was featured and remixed by resident DJ and BBC1 Radio personality Kissy Sellout. A lot of things have happened since we last talk and the world is starting to feel the energy and love.

Last week I got a chance to catch up and pick Morelle Valentin’s brain about his new The Love EP on Boxon Records, what he thinks about the resurgence of techno into the mainstream, influences, his progression from Bogata Dogs and how it felt when he heard his tracks being played on the Kissy Sellout BBC1 radio show. Hit the break for the interview along with a few bonus goodies that ValyMo brought on through for the people.

DAILY 02/13

The twisted mind of ValyMo has struck again and this time Kavinsky’s “Roadgame” is his victim. It hasn’t been a few days past when Kavinsky dropped “Roadgame” but the always impressive ValyMo has worked his wonders to craft an incredible tune unrecognizable from the original. We’ll definitely be hearing more from this rising star in the coming months but until then come play the roadgame.

DAILY 01/27

ValyMo is back with an excellent remix of the Colt Silvers track “Hide and Seek”. There has yet to be a remix by this Parisian that hasn’t been on repeat in my iPod. And “Hide and Seek” is a wonderfully crafted electro-pop record that any hipster or electro junky wouldn’t rock out to. Add this to the weekends playlist and lets all play a little hide and seek in the city tonight! And as an added bonus head on over to www.hide-and-seek.fr for an interactive video of Colt Silvers’ “Hide and Seek”.

DAILY 12/30

The incredible ValyMo will control all movement with his massive remix of Gesaffelstien’s “Control Movement” off the Bromance #1 EP. The original was already mean, dark and vicious but ValyMo sot out the turn the track into a demented monster. From the minute the ValyMo vocal drops utter chaos will proceed with uncontrollable rhythmic head and body movements. But no worries the sinister baseline will guide you on this dark and dirty synth filled rave. Rage hard and don’t look back.
