Made Events has just announced the second phase of artists performing at this year’s Electric Zoo. Joining this year’s already stacked lineup will be Diplo, Tommy Trash, Brodinski, Kavinsky, and a handful more artists. THe festival will take place at Randall’s Island Park over Labor Day weekend. This year in Chicago there will be a projected 25,000+ violent crimes committed. In order to help combat this problem, IMF Magazine is proud to work alongside AG Public Relations, Hustlepalooza & Beating The Pavement Productions in order to help bring attention to a very serious problem in our communities. Our city is easily one of the most violent in the country, and our youth are unfortunately surrounded by the bulk of it daily. In order to help raise awareness of an issue in need of so much attention, we bring this project to Chicago Public Schools, and directly to the youth. The latest day in the series will take place Wednesday, May 2nd, as we visit Marshall High School.
The film from UMF Films and Final Kid that captured all the magic of the Ultra Music Festival last year will be making its one-night theatrical run tomorrow March, 22 2012 on over 500 screens across the US. This special screening will also include an additional 45 minutes of exclusive red carpet footage from the stars, cast and crew who will join 7,500 fans for a premiere event at Bayfront Park Amphitheatre in downtown Miami Wednesday, March 21.

The anticipation for Myhem at the Mid this week was at its highest since Montreal’s finest export Alain Macklovitch better known as A-Trak, Trizzy, one half of Duck Sauce, one half of the Brothers Macklovitch and Fool’s Gold Co-founder would be making his second stop on “The Great North American Club Crawl” for a little ole fashioned party rocking.
With the drink specials flowing, the mayhem ensued as Dj Trentino with his unorthodox signature style took over. As the night went on the crowd started to build up and GunLove hit the stage to get everybody hyped for the main event. As his set rocked the sea of people pouring in to The Mid, a push of people eagerly itching to get as close to center stage as they could to catch a glimpse of the legendary DJ & champion turntablist A-Trak. Get ready for a four day experience like no other, the Electric Forest Festival 2012 initial lineup has been announced. And from the looks of it you won’t want to miss out on this magical event. Organizers behind the Electric Forest Festival announced today that EC 2012 will be headlined by the String Cheese Incident, Bassnectar and STS9. Those acts a lone would make the festival an incredible experience but there is a long laundry list of festival mainstays and more electronic/DJ oriented acts. There is something for everyone here. On January 11th HP, Intel and Twitter will team up for the first ever live stream of a concert via Twitter’s new “Brand Pages” feature at the Consumer Electronics Show. The event will feature legendary DJ/Producer Tiësto as he takes center stage at Encore’s XS nightclub in Las Vegas. Along with the live event a new 10 episode web series entitled “In The Booth” will give us access for a behind the scenes look into Tiësto’s life and impact on the world EDM. So tune in at 10:00pm (PT), which means for us in Chicago it’ll be a midnight show and those on the East coast you should chime in at 1:00am, and interact with other while watching the live stream by tweeting the hash tag #TiestoLive.
