DAILY 01/02

Saturday night welcomed the Red Bull Soundclash to Miami’s newly renovated Bayfront Park. Over 80,000 onlookers came to witness the battle between singer-songwriter/producer Mike Posner and actor/rapper Ludacris, as well as partake in the NYE festivities.

The high-profile event saw an onslaught of appropriated venders providing delicious food, cold beverages, and other coinciding items to further heighten enjoyment for attendees. Renowned mixtape composer and DJ Mick Boogie kicked off the sounds for the evening, as he ripped the ones and twos and at one point, mixed approximately five tracks in a row from Jay and Kanye’s Watch The Throne — and yes, it was magical.

Luda and Mike Posner each took the stage just before 10pm, as both treated the fans with a few of their popular hits before kicking off the impromptu competition. The Clash saw each artist calling home to his own stage, both facing directly towards each other. Upon going round after round, blow after blow, the pair of high energy performers hit one stage together in letting loose a joint performance, just before counting down to ring in the new year.

If you were unable to attend, just put it this way — it was something you’ll definitely want to check out, if presented the opportunity in the future. Hit the jump to see a few shots from the event, as we hope you all have had an amazing holidays and happy New Year.

Halloween has come and passed but the memories have all lasted, well at least the ones we captured on video. This Halloween weekend in Chicago was packed with some incredible shows courtesy of React Presents. The Smokers Club Tour came by and got the entire city all high, The Check Yo Ponytail Tour left the Mid completely trashed and finally came Freaky Deaky 2011 at the Congress Theater to round off a weekend of complete utter madness. I only made it to two of these awesome show but it was enough to leave me with an intense ringing in my ear and some pretty messed up Chuck Taylors.
