One of Cleveland’s finest, Chip Tha Ripper, heads to Chicago today to perform later this evening at the Wild Hare. Later this afternoon however, Chip will be making a stop at Jugrnaut Chicago from 4-6pm to meet and greet with fans. If you’re in the area make sure you get out and go say what up to Chip and then head over to Wild Hare tonight to see one of the dopest shows of the Summer. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, they’re still available online or you can get them at the door.
Get your lights and as much of that fluffy green business you can get your hands on because this Fall, Wiz Khalifa hits the road alongside Alabama’s own Yelawolf for the “Waken Baken” Tour. He kicks things off August 7th in Boston at the City Hall Plaza and continues through the states including stops all across the map. Those who want to ensure you have tickets can hit up the pre-sale which begins July 27th at 3pm. The 2010 Green Label Sound Tour comes to Chicago tomorrow Friday July 23rd at Reggie’s Rock Club. Attendees will have the opportunity to catch an opening set by heavy hitter DJ TMBUCK2 and live performances from The Cool Kids and Theophilus London. Curren$y just released his latest album Pilot Talk last week and now he’s set to perform the whole album to the lucky attendees of his Famous Factory show this Friday, July 23rd in Brooklyn at the Public Assembly. Fans will also get the opportunity to see Dom Kennedy, Laws, Skyzoo, Rich Hil and Skotch Davis hitting the stage during the event. For those of you who are under 21, no need to worry because this will be an all-ages show. Sponsored by OkayPlayer.com, Decon, Shameless and Vault, doors for the third edition of The Famous Factory show, will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin one-hour later. Tickets are available for $20.
It’s definitely going to be a dope event. You rarely find artists who drop a full length LP and then go perform the whole thing in front of a live audience.
