After unleashing some lyrical fury on a couple of leaks and visuals to boot, Miami mainstay GhostWridah links up DJBooth for his latest street release, Downtown Lights. The free LP, which is released in conjunction with the re-launch of Ghostwridah.com and co-executive produced by the 305 MC himself — along with Gio V. and Leo “Lowkey” Zapata — the project consists of 12 brand new joints, including fan favorite “Skittles & Iced Tea.” Tagging along GhostWridah on the guest tip throughout Downtown Lights are Earthtones, fellow Poe Boy representers Brisco & Billy Blue, Nehemie, Stoney J., Jase, Young Black and Ambitious — while beats are provided by Stroud (ofTwo Band Geeks), Freeway Tjay, The Inkredibles, J. In light of the hoopla and commotion surrounding the senseless murder of Trayvon Martin, 305 representative Ghostwridah will release a song dedicated to the slain teen (which plays off the items young Trayvon had in his possession at the time of his death) and also had this message pertaining to the cut as well:
