DAILY 07/05

Quite possibly Weezy’s most recent track where he actually does an impressive job. And yes, I am well aware that the single is over a year old. Get my drift? No shots at Wayne, the YM crew just seems to be all about the dollar and everything else falls by the wayside. Therefore you have collabos and remixes and rock albums that should never ever be. Regardless, We Be Steady Mobbin’ is one of my favorite songs ever from Wayne, and surprisingly, Gucci doesn’t ruin it for me.

Due to a couple incarcerations, the video footage has been slightly delayed. And ff you don’t know what I’m talking about, just quit reading now. Word is that Wayne filmed his portion while Gucci was “away” and Gucci did the same for Wayne. Can’t these kids just stay out of trouble and play nice? But wait, is this merely an episode of cribs? Enjoy.

“Pull out those army tools, they’ll think I’m Rambo.”

I was wondering when we were going to get a Gucci Mane remix and now it’s finally here since Gucci isn’t locked up anymore. The original appeared on French Montana’s latest project Mac & Cheese Vol. 2 which features some pretty dope material if you haven’t checked it out yet. Good luck to everyone who happens to be in the club when this song drops.

Judging by the tracks that have hit the internet from Evil Empire’s upcoming Trending Topics 4 mixtape, it’s going to be a dope one. Atlanta’s most wanted goes in over Swizzy production for “It’s Alive”. I definitely liked this chillness of this one. Not the usual ‘all up in your face with bells and whistles’ Swizz track.

“I am looking forward to getting back to business and to start making hits. I am extremely excited about my new album, The Appeal, which will be dropping at the end of the summer. Over the course of 2010, 1017 Brick Squad records will also be releasing albums from my artist Wacka Flocka Flame as well as my group Brick Squad, which features Wacka, OJ Da Juiceman and myself. In July, I will be heading out on a nationwide tour, hitting venues across the country and continuing the movement.”

If you don’t know already, Gucci Mane is once again a free man after completing 7 months of his 1 year sentence for probation violation. I guess these days in jail if you behave yourself they’ll shave some time off which is what happened in Gucci’s case. Upon departure from the Fulton County Jail, Gucci gave a statement to the media which you can see above. Hit the jump to read his full statement courtesy of the lovely Miss Info.

New video directed by Vitamin E, (and I used the word directed very lightly) from Gucci off his The State vs. Radric Davis album.
