Murder she wrote is the case, as Jhené Aiko releases the visual for her song, “The Worst” which is featured on yesterday’s release, Sail Out . The dark visual directed by Danny Williams, leaves questions unanswered but pairs well with the content of the song.
LA singer and song writer has been making waves lately with a variety of features and a recent collaboration with Childish Gambino in preparation for her upcoming project, Sail Out. Here, she links up with Kendrick Lamar for “Stay Ready (What A Life).” Prep yourself for the beat switch-up.
Having the ability to express your emotions in a rational way is a dangerous gift, as it sits comfortably in the middle of the spectrum on the fine line between being deemed as either “overly-emotional” or “emotionally unavailable.” Dangerous because it is seldom demonstrated in a way which shows no bias to either side. Whether a night of one too many drinks finds you in “that” place being “that” person or there is a legitimate lacking of inspiration to feel anything, our own experiences shed light on our current situations and why we react the way we do. The term “emotional” in all its ambiguity, is overused and over hyped.
Jhene Aiko drops off “Bed Peace,” a collaborative effort with actor, comedian and rapper Childish Gambino. Aiko’s I-cant -believe-its-not-butter vocals paired with Gamb’s laid back delivery pair perfectly over the track which issure to get the music fiends buzzing. The record comes from Aiko’s forthcoming project, Sail Out due in stores October 29th. The project will include features from Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Ab-Soul and others.
