Nigel D of RTNY provides us with the best footage thus far of Hov kicking a brand new verse at the first show and grand opening of the state-of-the-arc, Barclay’s Center. Hov, in a PSA manner, dropped some knowledge for the fans about using your inner “genius” to achieve success and fulfilling your dreams. Along with bringing out fellow Brooklynite Big Daddy Kane, there were previous rumors that he also unveiled a Biggie hologram via his $400k stage, but it turns out that story was not true…contrary to the reports. It was simply a hi-res pic/vid [utilized] of the late BK rapper. Nonetheless, kudos to Jay for the sincere gesture. Peep the transcribed verse below–and watch it, he’s got ‘em shooters running rampant.

A$AP Rocky brought the ruckus with his Mob crew at the Pitchfork Music Festival in the Chi, and up top he amps up the crowd with his rowdy cut “Pretty Flacko,” and below he brings down a bit on “Bass.” Hit the jump to officially check out all of the Mobbin’ mayhem.

TDE’s Schoolboy Q is no stranger to New York and yesterday he came out to rock Central Park’s Summer Stage with other performers, Danny Brown and Childish Gambino. Although draped like a boxer in a very cozy sweat suit, Q definitely turnt it up for the crowd and kept his “Hands on The Wheel” after some excessive weed and brews in the backstage trailer.-BlowHipHopTV
Ab-Soul headlined his first NYC show for the Hot97 x 2DBZ “Who’s Next Live” Showcase held at S.O.B.s. Proving himself to be one of the cornerstone members of the TDE collective and Black Hippy group, Soul was definitely prepared for the “Solo” performance as he got the crowd bumpin on almost every lyric from his new “Control System” LP and a few other Long Term classics.
