“The Rocksmith Fall 2010 lookbook commercial “I’m the Man” takes place on an upbeat early autumn afternoon in the trains and streets of Brooklyn. Fourteen of downtown NYC’s most notorious nightlife lurkers and DJs get together to do absolutely nothing.

Of the Rocksmith Fall looks featured in this commercial, some of the highlights include the Mic Check Reversible Vest and Flannel with leather detailing. The black Backwoods leather-and-french terry hoodie ties in directly with the patent-and-duck cloth Brooklyn fitted. Two graphic crew necks are featured—the Daftrock and Tokyo Megamix, which feature the standard Rocksmith front pocket. The Rock Solid Chino pants balance out V-neck teas, such as the Getto OG and Shaolin V-neck, worn under the General Steele sweater cardigan.”

The video was directed by Lazlo with music from Lee Fields.

DAILY 09/09

New York mayor Michael Bloomberg kicked-off the inaugural Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center yesterday by unveiling a new subway sign dubbing the No. 1 line “The Fashion Line” for the duration of the week. The event officially begins today and continues through the 16th of September. The event will feature more than 90 of the world’s most established and up-and-coming designers presenting their collections for the upcoming Spring 2011 season. The good people over at GQ have put together a nice little guide for everyone checking out the event. They’ve included the hottest places to eat, drink and shop so head over there to check it out and we hope everyone enjoy’s Fashion Week.

Coming across lifestyle brand out of NY, Common Projects, I must admit I wasn’t too familiar with their product, but from what I saw I became intrigued and decided to investigate a bit further. Dawning both men’s and women’s fashion items, as well as alternate accessories, the brand combines aspects of possibly several of our favorite brands already out there, yet adds a nice bit of flare of their own.

With a preview of next year’s Spring/Summer footwear line up on hand, we get a look at just how diverse their shoe collection has become. Models rivaling Vans Authentics, particular Pro Keds pieces, and then generic chukkas, boots, and slip ons, the forthcoming collection undoubtedly has a pair for folks in every walk of life. Hit the jump to get a closer look.

“Our “One Shot, One Kill” collection represents to us, the opportunity/opportunities, we are given in this world. With our experiences, we have learned that the majority of the time, in LIFE, we only get “One Shot” to “Kill” the game. Whether it’s business, sports, relationships, or life overall, we must take advantage of every opportunity, in case we only have one last “Shot” left in the chamber.”

ArtistiCreation is a lifestyle brand that started in January of 2009. There isn’t any one particular design that categorizes the line or labels the brand’s identity. They basically do what they want, with the overall goal of being the one everyone loves, hates, and wishes they were. Whether it is on the streets, in the classroom, at the night club, or on the red carpet, each design is inspired by their life experiences in the past, present and future. Take a minute and check them out!
