The beautiful Goapele (pronounced gwah-puh-lay) is back in full force with a new album, nightclub and a boutique to match.

“I learned just enough to realize I had to be involved on the business side and to put out my own music,” she says. “I could not even describe the style of music I was writing and performing, and that was part of the reason there was no label involved for a long time. It seemed like a label’s interference could make the music switch direction. I really wanted to see if the music I wanted to do could succeed.”

Ghostface made an in-store appearance a couple days ago at the downtown Chicago Adidas Store to visit with fans, sign autographs and promote his upcoming album Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City. I wish I could have been there for this event, but you can’t make them all. This is one album I’m definitely looking forward to this Fall.

Jay West, an artist out of California hits us with his latest video for ‘The Language’ – a smooth joint done in all black and white. Check it out.

NOTE: Jah: Shout out to Becky Billions for looking real nice in the video.

I know what some of you probably are already thinking based upon the title, “a Disney graffiti exhibition”? This has nothing at all to do with the movie made by Disney – just had to throw that out there.
