In support of his recent underCOVERS EP release, rising Toronto singer-songwriter/producer Nick Nikon is back to deliver a set of aesthetics for one of the project cuts. The compilation showcased revamped covers of three classic tracks, as here Nick has chosen to focus in on Ja Rule’s “Put It On Me” record. This isn’t your average hip-hop cover, though. Nikon goes with reworked electronic-style production and rewritten lyrics to award with an EDM/R&B-type vibe. Throughout the clip you will see the artist recording and performing the reinterpretation.
Tom Aspaul is an emerging artist from the UK (Wolverhampton) and here he drops off “Pioneer.” He floats all over the FTSE-produced track, with a unique sound and clever content laid throughout the lyrics; this is a very eclectic effort.
